BIOGRAPHY

Intrigued with art from an early age, Shine began drawing as soon as he could hold a pencil. Growing up in Memphis, he spent most of his free time with a sketchbook drawing whatever he imagined.

At 19, he began a tattoo apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop with hopes of becoming a tattoo artist. receiving his tattoo license after six years of consistent tattoo apprenticeships, he opened his first tattoo shop and began working as a full-time tattoo artist. Even with a demanding schedule, Shine still found time to pursue painting.

In February 2021, Shine decided to pursue art as a career after selling almost all of the art displayed in his art studio.

"My Art is the essence of my being, the purist, noblest and most courageous parts of me, a snapshot of where I am, what I've experienced, and who I've been inspired by. Through art, the child within strives for a sense of purpose and place. Everything is determined by my passion and love for my subject. My creations are born from intense thought processes, also they are born from a desire to connect, I paint when deeply inspired to promote love, beauty, equality, and ease of mind. My muse is everything I see and experience."
